Bill Seuliar (Souliere)
Bill Seuliar took Volney Jones to his sugar camp to show him the tools and containers he used to make maple syrup. Jones collected examples of the older equipment Mr. Seuliar kept at his camp but no longer used. To learn more, visit the Maple Syrup page.
Geneological research (conducted by Lisa Young in 2021) indicates that Jones may have misspelled Bill's last name. In the 1921 Census of Canada, three men who lived in the Garden River community were named William Souliere, but none spelled their last name "Seuliar."
